Dreamscapes and Dwellings

These digital images are from a series of works developed from photos I have taken of various textural materials, found objects or old buildings that have fallen into disrepair.

My idea is to “digitally build” imaginary structures and landscapes using the colors and textures of grasses, leaves, flowers, seed pods and parts of actual buildings as well as scanned components from drawings, painted surfaces and found objects.

The presentation of the images using multiple borders developed using the colors and textures found in the image suggest the borders and framing patterns found in “Persian Miniature” paintings.
